W E L C O M E ! Audible Images is the web home of Andrew Boyd. I'm currently employed as Studio Audio Director at Stormfront Studios, where I've been Audio Directing Vivendi Universal's Eragon. This is a major game due out this fall based on the upcoming blockbuster film and the bestselling novel of the same name.  ERAGON Eragon is slated for release on Xbox360, Playstation 2, Xbox, and PC. I am excited about this game's release, as I feel it pulls together a lot of learnings from my previous few games such as Atari's Forgotten Realms: Demon Stone (which released in 2004 to wide critical acclaim for the sound, music, and voice, including earning BAFTA nominatins for Best Music of the Year and overall Best Audio of the Year), EA's hit Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, and Microsoft's Blood Wake . 
 
A I A S A W A R D S I sat as a judge on the AIAS Original Music Composition award committee in 2003 and 2005, and will be participating again this year. It's a great feeling to be able to help provide recognition to all the folks doing great work in game soundtracks--there's some very impressive stuff out there.
G A M E D E V E L O P E R ' S C O N F E R E N C E I spoke this year at the Game Developer's Conference, presenting with my Audio Lead Robb Mills. We gave a talk entitled "Implementing an Adaptive, Live Orchestral Soundtrack." I also spoke in 2004, giving a talk about the most effective use of the Audio Director position on a development team, presenting strategies for contractors and even in-house teams without Audio Directors to solve some of the most common complaints about the development process called "Audio Director to the Rescue!"
